I have recently passed my PA1 and 2 spraying courses with Demelza and the training provided was first class. The workbooks were perfect in giving you all the relevant information and not having to Google something and get a range of different answers.

As a result of how good the training was, I booked on to the dry stone walling course which again was brilliant. This time Louise provided the training and I have come away from the course with new skills, knowledge and confidence to tackle the dying art that is dry stone walling.

I can’t recommend Lowe Maintenance enough, they will always be my first point of contact or recommendation for any future training.

  2. Jason Barker

Really enjoyed the online course. The videos make it very easy to understand and follow along in the workbook. Would definitely recommend!

  3. Andy Crawshaw

Just done PA1 safe use of pesticides and PA6A knapsack and lance from ATV courses Demelza was very helpful and gave very good clear training and Richard the examiner was very good with clear instructions all in all two very informative and worthwhile courses thankyou.

    Very highly recommended.

  4. Michael Evans

My first port of call for agricultural training. Top people with the knowledge to get you up and running within the industry.

  5. Rebecca Howard

Brilliant pesticide course. The step-by-step videos and workbook made it really simple to follow. Would definitely recommend it.

  6. Hannah Watson

Excellent course with all information provided in three ways to suit any learning style.

  7. Kevin Elvidge

    Excellent course content.

  8. Neil Robbins

An excellent course would definitely advise other people to go.

  9. Ryan Harrison

The course I attended on Monday 20th of September encompassed PA1, PA6AW and PA6INJ, all three courses were well taught and run by helpful teachers, and the course information and videos given to us before hand were top-notch and will continue to be useful to me in my career. The training course provided by Lowe Maintenance is the best course I’ve been on in years.

  10. Paul Kivel

From start to finish I found the experience thoroughly enjoyable from the excellent videos and workbooks on the portal which take you through the process step by step and allow you to work and learn at your own pace. Demelza and the team are at the end of the phone if needed and you have the message section in the portal.
On the day of the assessment, everyone arrives a little nervous and apprehensive as is normal, however, John and Demelza put you at ease within minutes of arriving with the way they approach and interact with you sprinkles with a little bit of humour.
Really good presentation with good clear instruction of the practical elements of the test, and always open to questions with answers given straight away.
Was made to feel totally at ease with the actual calibration and application assessment.
Mostly impressed with the way the team make you feel like a human being rather than a number as I have found with some training companies.
I would definitely recommend Lowe Maintenance for all your training needs.

  11. Andy Ellershaw

Really enjoyed the course and all it had to offer.

  12. Mike Fowell

Excellent communication leading up to the course and throughout the training.

  13. Bradley Yarnold

This was a fantastic course to learn about working outside. Demelza is so friendly and helpful and I can’t thank her enough!

  14. Daniel Hay

Demelza provided a wealth of information to start which with good time is easily readable and watcable. John did the practical part really well, telling us what he knew and answering the questions that were thrown at him. Demelza assessed me and made me feel a lot more comfortable than I was before hand. All in all a very positive course and assessment day! Thank you

  15. Rowan Leach

A good way to learn useful information and portal links are awesome easy to follow and can save your progress.

  16. Stuart Walne

having done the training I feel confident to use pesticides professionally and responsibly.

  17. Heather Whalley

Excellent course, everything you need to know and more is manageable chunks, good flow to the course and easy to understand. 5 stars!

  18. Scott Andrews

Found the way this course was done was perfect as I could do this at my own speed and the online work videos and communication between the tutors a breeze wood recommend to anyone.

  19. Joy Crampton

Absolutely excellent course, which left me feeling confident that I know how to store, handle, use and dispose of pesticides safely and legally, and what to do in an emergency.

Comprehensive and easily digested study materials, workbooks, pictures, and videos. No confusing technical language. Very comprehensive online library of relevant documents e.g EA approval application forms, environmental assessment forms, and lots of relevant background information and contacts available on the course portal. There’s a lot to learn, I spent about 20 hours studying.

Regarding the online assessment – as soon as I arrived at the training centre, a trainer saw me and came over to greet me, even though I was 1 hour early. He explained what would be happening during the day, and what he said was correct The assessment invigilator was calm and friendly, tried hard to put me at ease and explained exactly how to use the computer programme for the exam. I was impressed that she noticed during my exam that one of the City and Guilds guidelines might have changed a little, and was going to look into this for future students, in case study materials needed to change slightly.

I got a high mark on the exam, proving that the study materials provided had covered everything I needed to know to pass the City and Guilds assessment. There’s a lot to learn, I spent about 20 hours studying.

Any admin questions I had were answered promptly and fully. The course organiser rang me a couple of times to answer questions I’d messaged through the website, which was really useful. A lot of work has clearly gone into designing this course, the workbooks, videos and course portal, and the course designers have done an excellent job. The training centre was easy to find and clear driving directions were given, including the ‘what 3 words’ address.

I’d recommend this course to anyone who needs to study for City and Guilds Principles of Safe Handling Application of Pesticides PA1 – I really can’t fault the course.
