Battle the elements with our para tops

Made from recycled military fabric, our para tops are the perfect way to steer clear of the elements. The material is windproof and lightweight. The diversity of our tops make them ideal for all industries, and anyone who works outdoors will feel the benefit.

We class these tops as an essential piece of kit during training, due to the sites we visit and the activities we carry out.

Inspiration

We began selling the standard parachute tops first. We were then approached by a Swedish ranger unit, who wanted a long-sleeved version. The rangers use canoes to get about, and the long sleeves allow extra reach when paddling. The midge veils are also perfect for those working near rivers.

Good to know

We create all our products here, on-site in our workshop. Phill is the designer, creator and manufacturer, therefore no two items are quite the same. With each purchase, you’ll be getting a totally Yorkshire-made item and supporting our small business – it’s a win-win!

Our simple, unisex, hard-wearing para tops come with no frills attached (which is the case with all of Phill’s designs!).

These items are a great base-layer but are most often used as an outer layer to keep the wind out. The useful front pouch can transform the top into its own carry case by folding in on itself. It then becomes a much smaller item to transport.

In the UK military and all over the world, these items are a very familiar piece of equipment and are highly-sought-after!

On the midge veil tops, Phill has fitted velcro to the hood, at the front neck, to allow for easy removal a the midge veil tops. This also gives the option to put the hood behind when not needed or to open it slightly to get a drink or something to eat and not get nibbled by midges at the same time.

Para tops: the details

Please note: all measurements are approximate. Designed to be baggy, these tops are a size fits all. You should keep your top away from direct heat and flame, as it is not flame retardant. Phill sews washing instructions into the top. No two tops are identical, all are unique! The green para tops are made from recycled parachutes, other colours are made from rip stop nylon.

  • Pit to pit 76cm (old school 30”)
  • Sleeve length pit to cuff 67cm (old school 26.5”)

This tops’ use is applicable across many industries. For example game-keepers, fishermen, foresters, ramblers and so many more industries will see the benefit. We also find them to be an essential piece of kit during training.
